About
The Swing Time Big Band based in Bloomington, Indiana is a standard 17-piece jazz ensemble. Formed in 2015 by band leader Jerry Jerome, the ensemble is now led by Janis Stockhouse, former Director of Bands at Bloomington High School North.
The group rehearses twice per month and performs at a variety of venues in the Bloomington area. Their repertoire includes the music of Count Basie, Buddy Rich, Sammy Nestico, Woody Herman, Duke Ellington, Henry Mancini, and many others.
Currently, all positions are filled, however, we welcome interested musicians and we do have a need for players on all instruments to be added to our “sub list.” Please contact Janis Stockhouse for more details. jazz.stockhouse@gmail.com
